If something goes wrong
If it is rejected
If the portal does not accept your details, or the certificate has mistakes, call or WhatsApp +91 8308809334 (Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm), write to champions@gov.in, or complain on the Champions portal. A discrepancy or complaint about a registration is enquired into by the General Manager of your District Industries Centre (DIC); details are amended or the registration cancelled only after you have had a chance to present your case.

The certificate should come online once registration is complete. If it does not, or the portal does not work, call or WhatsApp +91 8308809334 or write to champions@gov.in. You can also ask for help at your District Industries Centre (DIC).

Udyam registration is completely free and needs no documents. The portal warns you to beware of fake sites: apart from this government portal and the government's single window systems, no private website, agency or person is authorised to do MSME registration. Do not pay anyone; if you are asked for money, complain on the Champions portal or to +91 8308809334.

If you cannot register yourself (for example, you have no Aadhaar yet), go to your District Industries Centre (DIC) or an MSME Champions control room: they are single windows that help with registration free of cost. Without Aadhaar, take your Aadhaar enrolment slip, bank photo passbook, voter ID, passport or driving licence; they also help you get an Aadhaar number. For example, Warangal's District Industries Centre is at Chaithanyapuri, Kazipet.
