If something goes wrong
If it is rejected
If your application is rejected, the reasons come online in Form VIII within a month. If it was rejected after the assessment, or you disagree with the percentage or validity on your card, appeal within 90 days: log in to the UDID portal and choose 'apply for review of decision'; you can appeal only once. If it was rejected before the assessment, for wrong documents or for not going to the camp, you can apply afresh at any time, or ask the hospital to reopen it. If you do not appeal, you can apply afresh after 90 days; and if an appeal is not decided within three months, you can apply afresh.

If it is late
The rules say the hospital must issue the certificate and card within three months where a disability is found. If you are not called for assessment, or the certificate is late, ask the Superintendent / CMO of the hospital where you applied, then your district DRDA officer (phone numbers on the SADAREM website). If it is still not resolved, call the central Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities on 011-24365019 or email disability-udid@gov.in. An application with no decision for over two years becomes inactive, and you must apply again.

SERP warns not to trust middlemen or agents who ask for money to get you a certificate. If anyone asks, tell the district administration (the Collector's office); you can also complain on Prajavani.

If it is rejected
If your pension application is rejected, ask the MPDO or Municipal Commissioner's office why. Your district pension officer's (APO's) phone number is on the Cheyutha website under 'APOs Contact Details'.

If your pension stops, open 'Search Pensioner Details' on the Cheyutha website and look yourself up by pension ID, Aadhaar or SADAREM ID. Then call the district APO. You can also register a complaint with the Rural Development Call Center (toll-free 1800-200-1001), which passes it to the officials.
