You have your Aadhaar seeded (linked) to the one bank account you choose, so that government scheme money such as pensions, scholarships and subsidies is paid straight into it.
For whom: Anyone in Andhra Pradesh who receives, or is about to receive, government scheme money straight into a bank account (DBT), and anyone whose money has not arrived.

Answer a few questions to see which steps apply to you. The whole guide is below.
Documents you need
•
Aadhaar seeding consent form (the bank's "mandate and consent form")
original
If you don't have it:
The branch where your account is gives it to you.
•
A copy of your Aadhaar, signed by you (self-attested)
Not confirmed: NPCI's model form asks for a self-attested copy of the Aadhaar letter; banks may ask for other papers under their own policy. Ask your branch.
Steps
Only if
Do you have a bank account in your own name? (An India Post Payments Bank account counts.) Yes · What do you want to do? Scheme money has not come into my account
1.
First make sure the money really has not come. Look at the bank's SMS alerts, or check your balance at an ATM, at a Bank Mitra's micro ATM, in internet or mobile banking, or through phone banking.

2.
Log in to the myAadhaar website and open the "bank seeding status". It shows the bank your Aadhaar is seeded to; DBT money goes to that bank.
Not confirmed: UIDAI says this information comes from NPCI's server and that UIDAI is not responsible for its correctness; it also says the same can be seen on NPCI's own website (BASE). We did not see the pages after login; logging in may need an OTP on the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar.
3.
Or ask at your bank branch. The staff should be able to see your Aadhaar's status in the NPCI mapper on their system, and tell you the reason if seeding was rejected. Some banks also show this status in net banking or at their ATMs.

4.
Ask the bank whether the account is inoperative, has KYC pending, or is blocked or frozen; DBT money sent to such an account goes back. An ordinary account becomes inoperative when you make no transaction for over two years (RBI tells banks to keep accounts opened for government schemes and scholarships out of this rule). You can get it working again at any branch by giving your KYC documents; there is no charge.

💰 Fee: Free · No charge for making an inoperative account work again.
⏱️ within 3 days · The bank must activate the account within three working days of receiving the complete application.

5.
If your Aadhaar is not yet seeded to any bank, or is seeded to a bank you do not want, choose the one account that should get DBT money. All the scheme money due to you goes into that one account. Choose a savings account you use: loan, PPF and NRE accounts, blocked or frozen accounts, and inoperative accounts are not seeded. If you seed a joint account, the money paid into it is available to all its holders, as the account's operating rules allow.

6.
Go to the branch where that account is and fill in the Aadhaar seeding consent form: write the account number, branch name, Aadhaar number, your name exactly as in Aadhaar and your mobile number, and sign or give your thumb impression. If your Aadhaar was seeded to another bank before, write that bank's name too. Aadhaar you gave for KYC when you opened the account is not seeded for DBT; that needs this separate consent. Be sure to take the acknowledgement the bank gives you.

📎 Aadhaar seeding consent form (the bank's "mandate and consent form"), A copy of your Aadhaar, signed by you (self-attested)
Not confirmed: Under NPCI's procedure the bank may take this consent on paper or electronically; ask whether your bank offers it in net banking or its app. The official papers we read do not say whether there is any fee for seeding.
7.
Wait for the bank's SMS: the bank should send one with the date when seeding is done, or with the reason if it is rejected. The bank noting your Aadhaar in its own records is not enough; DBT money comes only after seeding in the NPCI mapper. If you give consent to two banks, the money goes to the bank that seeded it last.

8.
Once the SMS comes, open the bank seeding status on myAadhaar again and check that it shows the bank you chose.

9.
If your Aadhaar is seeded to the right bank and the account works but the money still has not come, ask the office that runs the scheme whether the money was released in your name. In Andhra Pradesh, applications for some schemes, such as pensions, are taken at the village and ward secretariats; ask first where you applied.
🏢 The village or ward secretariat where you applied, or the office of that scheme
Not confirmed: The official pages we read do not say that the secretariat can look up DBT payment status; they list pension applications as secretariat services only. Nor do they name one complaint office for all schemes. Ask at the secretariat which office handles your scheme's payments.
You cannot get this
DBT money is paid into a bank account, so you first need an account in your name. Someone with no other account can open a Jan Dhan (BSBD) account, with no minimum balance, at any bank branch or Bank Mitra; it receives DBT money. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), the post office's bank, also gives zero-balance accounts and handles DBT payments; postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks bring its services to your door.

Come back to this guide once the account is open. For post office and IPPB accounts, see the "post office account" guide.

If something goes wrong
If it is rejected
If the bank rejects the seeding, find out the reason from the SMS or at the branch. If the name in your Aadhaar does not match the bank's records or the scheme's list, get the name corrected at an Aadhaar centre; in Andhra Pradesh the village and ward secretariats also do Aadhaar updates. Then give the form again. If you think the bank refused unfairly, complain to the bank in writing and keep the complaint number. If there is no reply in 30 days, or you are not satisfied with it, complain free of charge to the RBI Ombudsman on cms.rbi.org.in.
If no SMS comes after you gave the form and the status on myAadhaar does not change, ask at the branch; then complain to the bank in writing and keep the number. If there is no reply in 30 days, complain to the RBI Ombudsman (within 90 days after the bank's time is up). On 14448 they explain how to complain, in Telugu too; complaints are not taken on that number.
Not confirmed: The official papers we read give no number of days within which the bank must finish seeding.
Also
If money goes into an account you did not choose, or you think your Aadhaar was seeded without your consent: a bank must not seed without consent, and must show proof of your consent if you complain. Give a fresh consent form at the bank where you want the money. Complain to the bank that got it wrong; if it is not settled in 30 days, go to the RBI Ombudsman.
