If something goes wrong
If it is rejected
Check the status on myAadhaar to see why: an invalid document, a document not in your name, details that do not match the document, an unclear scan, or a limit crossed. Apply again with the right document. The charge for a rejected online request is not refunded. To complain: the myAadhaar grievance page, 1947, help@uidai.gov.in, or the UIDAI Regional Office (Hyderabad, 040-23739269).

If the change is not done after 30 days, file a complaint with your URN, SRN or EID on the myAadhaar grievance page, or call 1947. After 90 days, call 1947 or write to help@uidai.gov.in. Do not trust anyone who asks for money to speed it up: by UIDAI, the process cannot be speeded up.

The charges are the same at every Aadhaar centre, including Aadhaar Seva Kendras: ₹75 for a change of details, ₹75 for a document update, ₹125 for biometrics, and the compulsory update for children is free. The chart of charges is shown at the centre, and the charge is printed at the bottom of your receipt. If you are asked for more, tell the Centre Manager at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra, call 1947, or complain on myAadhaar.
