Rythu Bharosa (investment support for farmers)
Who gets Rythu Bharosa, the Telangana government's investment support for farmers (₹12,000 per acre a year), how to make sure your land and bank details are on record, and whom to see when the money does not come.
For whom: Farmers in Telangana with cultivable land in their own name; also what tenant farmers and landless farm workers can do.
Published on 30-10-2026. Not every fact has been checked against its official source yet: confirm at the office.
Answer a few questions to see which steps apply to you. The whole guide is below.

Documents you need

•
Pattadar passbook (or the land details from Bhu Bharati)
copy
Not confirmed: The official documents we read do not say which papers the AEO asks for; take your passbook and bank passbook, and ask the AEO what else is needed.
•
First page of your bank passbook
copy
An account in your name, showing the account number and IFSC code.
Not confirmed: The Suryapet district website says AEOs collect bank account details; it does not say what proof they need.

Steps

Only if
Which of these describes you? I farm the land, but it is not yet in my name (inheritance, purchase or the like) · Is the land cultivable (land where crops are grown)? Yes, it is farm land
1.
First get the land put in your name (mutation, or succession after a death). Rythu Bharosa is paid only for land registered in your name on Bhu Bharati. See the land mutation guide for how.
✋ You do this yourself
Only if
Is the land cultivable (land where crops are grown)? Yes, it is farm land
2.
On the Bhu Bharati website, open 'Land Details Search', choose your district, and check by survey number or pattadar passbook number how much land is registered in your name. Rythu Bharosa is worked out on that extent.

Has Rythu Bharosa (or Rythu Bandhu) money come into your bank account before? No, this would be the first time
3.
See your cluster Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) and give your bank account details. The AEO enters them on the Rythu Bharosa portal; the Mandal Agriculture Officer, the Assistant Director of Agriculture (ADA) and the District Agriculture Officer check them.

Not confirmed: This process is from the Suryapet district agriculture office website; we could not see a state order or the Rythu Bharosa portal (it did not open). Ask the AEO from which season a new pattadar qualifies, and whether there is a cut-off date.

4.
Each season (Vanakalam and Yasangi), when the government releases the funds, the money goes straight into your bank account: ₹12,000 per acre a year (₹6,000 per acre a season). After a release is announced, check your bank account.

Not confirmed: ₹12,000 per acre a year is from the Socio Economic Outlook 2026 and the Chief Minister's statements; ₹6,000 a season is from district agriculture websites. We could not find the government order (G.O.) for Rythu Bharosa. Ask the AEO whether there is a limit on the number of acres, and when releases are due. The Vanakalam 2025 money was released 16–24 June 2025, and the Vanakalam 2026 money from 30 June 2026.

The official documents on Rythu Bharosa that we read (the Telangana Socio Economic Outlook 2026 and district agriculture office websites) do not mention Indian citizens living abroad. Under them the support goes by the cultivable land registered in the farmer's name on Bhu Bharati, straight into a bank account. Before relying on it, ask your cluster Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) or the Mandal Agriculture Officer whether you can get this support.
Not confirmed: We found no official rule that says whether Rythu Bharosa applies to Indian citizens living abroad (we could not find the scheme's order itself); only the agriculture office can tell you.

The official documents on Rythu Bharosa that we read (the Telangana Socio Economic Outlook 2026 and district agriculture office websites) do not mention OCI cardholders. Under them the support goes by the cultivable land registered in the farmer's name on Bhu Bharati, straight into a bank account. Under the Ministry of Home Affairs notification S.O. 1050(E) of 4 March 2021, an OCI cardholder is a foreign national, not an Indian citizen, and in economic, financial and educational fields the notification does not name has the same rights as a foreigner. Before relying on it, ask your cluster Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) or the Mandal Agriculture Officer whether you can get this support.
Not confirmed: We found no official rule that says whether Rythu Bharosa applies to OCI cardholders (we could not find the scheme's order itself); only the agriculture office can tell you.

Under the Socio Economic Outlook 2026, Rythu Bharosa goes to landholders with land registered in their names on Bhu Bharati. We found no official rule giving it to tenant farmers. Ask your cluster AEO whether you can get it.
Not confirmed: Some district websites say tenant farmers qualify, but they cite no order and do not say how to prove a lease. We could not find the government order.

Another route for you

Rythu Bharosa is not for landless farm workers; for them there is "Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa". Landless farm-labour households with an MGNREGS job card who worked at least 20 days in 2023-24 get ₹12,000 a year (two instalments of ₹6,000), paid into the bank account of the woman of the household. The Gram Sabha identifies and approves the beneficiaries.
Instead, see:
Ask the Panchayat Secretary or the MPDO office whether your household is on the list, and how to be added.
Not confirmed: These details are from the Socio Economic Outlook 2026; we could not find the scheme's order. It does not say when or how new beneficiaries are added.

You cannot get this

Rythu Bharosa is not paid for land that is not cultivable (Socio Economic Outlook 2026).
Not confirmed: We could not find the order listing which lands count as not cultivable; ask the AEO about your land.

If something goes wrong

If it is late
If a release has been announced but no money has come into your account, see your cluster AEO or the Mandal Agriculture Officer and ask whether your name, land and bank account details are correct on the Rythu Bharosa portal.
Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) / Mandal Agriculture Officer
Not confirmed: The official documents we read give no separate grievance channel, helpline or time limit for Rythu Bharosa.
If it is rejected
If your land was left out or a smaller extent was paid, first check the land registered in your name on Bhu Bharati. If it is wrong, get the land record corrected (see the land records and land mutation guides). Then tell the AEO.

Not confirmed: The official documents we read set out no appeal against a Rythu Bharosa refusal.
Also
If the AEO and the Mandal Agriculture Officer cannot solve it, complain at Prajavani at your District Collectorate.

Not confirmed: The Prajavani grievance website did not open while we wrote this. The day and time of Prajavani at the Collectorate may differ by district; ask there.
