Not confirmed: The Tirupati district transport page says all licence services are on Sarathi. The Transport Department's own website and its 2022 charter still point to its older portal (aprtacitizen.epragathi.org). We did not open Sarathi's inner pages (which documents to upload).

    5. Do this now

On the booked day, go to the RTA office on time with your original documents.

After your photo, signature and thumb impression are taken, you take a computer test on road rules and traffic signs: about 20 questions in 10 minutes. It is in Telugu, Hindi or English.

Not confirmed: The Transport Department's older FAQ says you need 16 right answers out of 20 to pass; we could not confirm that this is still the rule. Sarathi has a "Mock Test for LL" for practice. It also lists an online learner's test from home ("Online LLTest(STALL)"); we have not confirmed whether Andhra Pradesh offers it.

    If it is late

If the card has not come, first check "Application Status" on Sarathi. Then complain to the head of that office (MVI, RTO or DTC) in person, by phone or by e-mail. The department's charter says complaints are settled within 7 days; if not, they go to the next officer, and to the Transport Commissioner after 15 days. You can also register it on the state's grievance system, PGRS (1100, the website, the mobile app or the village or ward secretariat).

If you are asked for more money

The Transport Department has no agents or touts. Slot booking is free, and nobody can get you a slot out of turn. Do not pay anyone for a slot. Pay only the fees the portal shows, and keep a receipt for every payment. If anyone asks for a bribe, call the ACB on 1064.
