💰 Fee: A MeeSeva charge applies; we could not confirm the amount.
Not confirmed: The name of this service is from the 2019 MeeSeva charter. It is not among the Revenue services listed on the MeeSeva portal (read on 30 October 2026), and MeeSeva charges were raised in April 2026, so the old charge no longer applies. Ask at the centre whether it is still offered and what it costs, and check your receipt.

If something goes wrong

If it is rejected
See the reason in the status, or ask at the office of the officer who issues it. Apply again with more proof. If you think it was wrongly rejected, ask in writing to whom and within how many days to appeal; you can also complain on Prajavani.

Not confirmed: Government orders show appeals under section 7 of Act 16 of 1993, but those are against certificates that were cancelled. We could not open an official text of the Act or the Rules, so we have not confirmed who hears an appeal against a rejected application, or the time limit. Ask at the office.
If it is late
If it has not come after 30 working days, complain online on Prajavani, or go to the Prajavani grievance day at your District Collectorate.
Prajavani (the government's grievance system)

Not confirmed: The grievance day may differ by district (Monday in Nalgonda). The Prajavani website did not open when we tried again on 30 October 2026.
If you are asked for more money
For this service MeeSeva charges ₹80, including GST. The centre must give you a printed receipt for every payment and display the chart of charges. Charging more than the set amount is treated as fraud: the centre can be fined, and removed if it keeps happening. If you are asked for more, ask for the receipt and complain to the Parishkaram call centre (1100, or toll-free 1800 425 1110), or on Prajavani. Do not pay agents who offer to speed it up.
