We could not confirm whether this applies to you
The Andhra Pradesh Labour Department's registration form and the 2026 order say nothing about Indian citizens living abroad; registration is for people doing construction work, with the details of their work place. Ask your ALO first.
We could not confirm whether this applies to you
The registration form and the 2026 order do not mention OCI cardholders. Under the Ministry of Home Affairs notification S.O. 1050(E) of 4 March 2021, an OCI cardholder is a foreign national, not an Indian citizen, and in economic fields the notification does not name has the same rights as a foreigner. Ask your ALO first.

The registration form and the 2026 order do not mention foreign nationals; registration needs Aadhaar. Ask your ALO first.

The Labour Department's online form registers only people who are 18 or older and not yet 60.
→ If you are 60 or older, see the state's old-age pension, which has its own rules. For questions about the construction workers' schemes, ask your area's Assistant Labour Officer (ALO).

A government memo of March 2020 kept the Board's welfare schemes in abeyance. G.O.Ms.No.6 of 18.03.2026 restarted only four: the marriage gift, maternity benefit, natural death and funeral expenses. We found no official order restarting the others; ask your ALO.
This route does not apply to your situation
G.O.Ms.No.6 (18.03.2026) gives these four schemes only for marriages, deliveries and deaths on or after 1 March 2026; before that, the schemes had been in abeyance since March 2020. For an earlier event, ask your ALO.

- Do this nowIf: Register and get a new card
Fill in Form XXVII (registration of a building worker) on the Labour Department's website.
Log in with the OTP sent to your mobile and give your Aadhaar, family members, nominee (and share), bank account, address, job card (if any), trade union (if a member), where you work and your trade. Upload your photo, signature and the signed self-declaration.
Open the official pageNot confirmed: We took this form's details from the words in the site's program; we could not see officially which menu opens the form, or whether the secretariat or the ALO office helps you fill it. The Code on Social Security took effect on 21 November 2025; the State's 2026 rules keep this Welfare Board. If you have trouble, ask your ALO.

Check every detail before you pay: money once paid is not returned. Keep the receipt.

The ALO checks and approves your application; until then its status shows "Waiting for ALO Approval".
Once approved you get your identity card (BOC card). You can see the status under "Worker Status".
Not confirmed: We found no official time limit for issuing the card. If the card is lost, the website has a "Duplicate Id card" service.

- Do this nowIf: Renew my card
Fill in the renewal form on the Labour Department's website.
If the valid-until date has passed and you have already paid the challan, choose Yes under "Challan Paid" and upload it. If not, choose No and you go to the payment page: choose enough years for the new valid-until date to be after today, and pay. Upload the signed renewal self-declaration. If your registration is still valid, you need not pay; the same form gives you a new identity card.
Open the official pageNot confirmed: The registration form says "yearly contribution ₹12"; we could not see whether renewal costs the same or adds anything for a late renewal. Check the amount the payment page shows.

Marriage gift, ₹20,000: for a registered unmarried woman worker's own marriage, or for the marriage of two daughters of a registered worker.
The bride must be 18 or older at the marriage. Apply at your secretariat within 6 months of the marriage; the money goes to the worker's bank account.

Maternity benefit, ₹20,000 a delivery for up to two deliveries: for a registered woman worker, a registered male worker's wife, and a worker's daughters (two deliveries in all).
It is only for a delivery in a hospital, and only for a delivery after the worker has been registered for 12 months. Apply at your secretariat within 6 months; the money goes to the worker's bank account.
Not confirmed: The order says the benefit is only for deliveries in a hospital, yet also mentions a Panchayat Secretary's certificate for a home delivery; it does not say plainly that the 6 months count from the delivery. Ask your ALO.

The worker's membership must have been valid at the death, and a relative with proper identification applies. Apply at your secretariat within one year of the death.
Not confirmed: The order says this help is "for natural death only", yet also says the death must have happened at the work site or on the way to or from work, and asks for the FIR and panchanama. Ask your ALO whether your case qualifies.

Once the secretariat puts the application on AP SEVA, the ALO must check it and send it to the Deputy Commissioner of Labour (DCL) within 7 days.
With the District Welfare Committee's recommendation, the DCL must send it to the Collector within 10 days. The Collector sanctions or rejects it within 15 days, and you get an SMS. If sanctioned, the money goes straight to the bank account (DBT).
Not confirmed: The order sets no time for the money to reach the account.

If something goes wrong
If it is rejected
If it is rejected, you get an SMS. Ask your ALO why and give any missing document. You can complain on PGRS: at the village or ward secretariat any day, at the Collectorate on Monday, on the portal or in the app (with Aadhaar). If you are not satisfied with the reply, you can reopen it twice: first it goes to a district officer, then to the head of the department.
If it is late
By the order, the ALO must act within 7 days, the DCL within 10 and the Collector within 15. If it is late, ask the ALO, then the district Deputy Commissioner of Labour (DCL), and complain on PGRS. If a registration is slow, check "Worker Status" on the website and ask the ALO.
If you are asked for more money
Registration costs only ₹50 and ₹12 a year, paid online with a receipt. Do not pay agents who ask for money to get you a card or a faster payment. If someone asks for a bribe, complain to the ACB helpline or on PGRS.
